Delicious wines made with remarkable grapes from Western Australian vineyards Learn moreAbout Snake + Herring
A wine producer with eternal curiosity and new-world thinking
Born in 2011, Snake + Herring is a wine producer with a difference. Sourcing grapes from vineyards all along the length and breadth of Western Australia with the winery itself in Margaret River, Snake + Herring create a diverse range of energetic wines, that are packed full of flavour and fun.
Most of the wines are varietals with a few cracking blends like Bizarre Love Triangle (Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer) and Blue Monday GSM. A couple of the top wines have to be Black Betty Cabernet and Hallelujah Chardonnay (by now you are no doubt getting a feel for the brand!).
Having recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, Snake + Herring also have a popular cellar door which opened in 2016 that provides a simple and relaxed space to enjoy some of their remarkable wines.
VinAccessGlobal and Snake + Herring have been working together since 2020. A limited range of wines are now available in Singapore.

Showcasing Western Australia’s fine grape growing regions
Sabotage Riesling 2020
Intense nutty lemony nose. Vibrant zing of acidity on the palate, fresh crisp citrussy favours, clean and lean texture and a bone-dry, very long nutty finish.
Perfect Day Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2021
Grassy capsicum nose; crisp attach on the palate with lemon and gooseberry flavours predominating. Pleasingly astringent and mouth-watering, with a long bone-dry finish. Refreshing.
Tough Love Chardonnay 2021
Fabulous pineapple nose. Instant zing of fruit with taut acidity that explodes in the mouth. Oodles of flavour linger in the mouth leaving hints of melon and stone fruits on the back palate. Delicious.
Bizarre Love Triangle Pinot Gris+Gewurztraminer+Riesling 2021
An astonishing wine that balances tons of ripe fruit with searing acidity. The wine is bone-dry and quite tart yet brimming with lively fruit flavour throughout. Quite fabulous!
Redemption Syrah 2019
This dense, purply red wine from Great Southern is simply huge; the nose hints of coffee and cardamom and the palate is complex with sweet, spicey (cloves), bitter (dark chocolate), savoury and medicinal notes. Very powerful.
Corduroy Chardonnay 2019
The initial ultra-sharp citric acidity on the palate is a shock after the butterscotch and toast on the nose. Under the acidity is a base of oaky, buttery, creamy quince, making the vibrant, intense flavours lean and rich at the same time.

A few words from Alison, VinAccessGlobal Founder
“I was introduced to the wines of Snake and Herring by a former colleague at Domaine Chandon, where I worked in trade marketing in the late 1990s. James was an assistant winemaker so I took his recommendation very seriously. I connected with Red and Tony who sent a bottle of every wine over to Singapore for me to try. Even before opening a single bottle, I was overwhelmed by the labels and the names – every wine is named after a song. Wine critics love Snake and Herring’s intense crystalline flavours –see last year’s 2022 Halliday results as an example. Personally I am a huge fan of Sabotage Riesling and Perfect Day Sauv Sem.”
