About Mitolo
Exquisite wines produced from classic varietals alongside traditional Italian varietals
All Mitolo wines are sourced from vineyards owned and cultivated by the Lopresti family in McLaren Vale, one of Australia’s viticultural regions closest to the ocean. These vineyards, first planted in 1982, cover over 80 hectares and include classic varietals Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon along with Grenache, Vermentino, Negroamaro, Sangiovese and Vermentino.
The Mitolo family emigrated to Australia from Abruzzo in central Italy and were among the first wineries to produce wines in Australia from traditional Italian varietals. The winery is committed to sustainable farming practices and uses only the finest fruit in their winemaking. With a focus on quality over quantity, Mitolo has earned numerous accolades, both nationally and internationally, and is considered one of Australia’s premier wineries.
Mitolo has several highly regarded wines in their portfolio, but their most famous wine is the G.A.M. Shiraz. The initials stand for the names of Frank Mitolo’s children – Gemma, Alexander, and Marco – who inspired him to create this exceptional wine!

G.A.M. Shiraz 2018
Opaque inky black dense colour. Nose hints at spicey fruit. The palate coats the mouth and moves from ripe fruit developing into more spicey savoury characters. Supple tannins are slightly chewy but pleasant with a clean bright finish. Powerful wine with a long future ahead.

Serpico Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Made in an Amarone style. Complex, mature, earthy, minty – proper fruit complexity here, and it’s a beautiful juicy mouthful that finishes with a hot but not unbalanced length. (RH) on Jancis Robinson describing 2012 vintage.

A few words from Alison, VinAccessGlobal Founder
“I have been familiar with Mitolo wines since the brand was launched back in the early 2000s, when I first moved to Singapore from Melbourne. The Jester range of varietal wines has always offered tremendous value for money and is complimented by a hierarchy of top-quality varietals and blends crafted by one of South Australia’s top winemakers.”
