An iconic vineyard pioneering the emergence of Crémants d’Alsace
Located in Orschwihr, which is a charming village on the Alsatian wine route in France, Lucien Albrecht is a wine producer that’s rich in history. One of the pioneers of the Cremant in the early 1970s, the unique terroir continues to create outstanding wines with tenacity and flavour. The vineyards are mostly in southern Alsace, the part of the appellation most associated with producing the best quality.
An authentic brand that’s renowned and enjoyed around the globe, Lucien Albrecht’s top wines are the Grand Cru Riesling and Gewurztraminer from the Spiegel vineyard. The main range features Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Riesling plus a little Pinot Noir (the only red) and wonderful Cremant d’Alsace made by Methode Traditionnelle from Pinot Blanc.
VinAccessGlobal and Lucien Albrecht have been working together since 2020 launching under Covid in Singapore. Post pandemic, as the world reopens, together we are launching in other new markets across Asia and Australasia.

Wines that bring out the very best out of this one-of-a-kind terroir
Cremant d’Alsace
The Brut is made from predominantly Pinot Blanc by the méthode traditionnelle. The nose is crisp and attractive. On the palate the mousse is gentle, and the light fruit flavours are appealing and very fresh. An ideal sparkling before a meal.
Riesling Reserve 2020
This modestly priced wine packs a tremendous flavour along with steely acidity. The palate is full of ripe lime and citrus shot through with firm acidity that keeps the wine fresh and crisp with a very long finish.
Riesling Grand Cru Spiegel 2019
The Grand Cru Riesling is almost unctuous, brimming with rich ripe lime against an austere acidity that intensifies the flavours and leaves the palate with a bone-dry finish. Wonderful.
Reserve Pinot Gris 2021
The nose is redolent of fruit and flowers with nutty hints. On the palate the wine is dry with lively fruit flavours and attractive floral notes. Easy drinking.
Reserve Gewurztraminer 2020
This wine has 12 g/L of residual sugar and carries it perfectly. The nose is classic Gewurztraminer and on the palate, we find lemon zest and spice in a mouth-filling powerful burst of flavour.
Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Spiegel 2017
The nose is intense and powerful; on the palate the flavour is truly penetrative and complex with unctuous mouth texture, perfectly balanced acidity and bags of ripe lime and lemon peel. Very long finish.

A few words from Alison, VinAccessGlobal Founder
“Back in the 1990s I was part of the team managing the portfolio of a large wine importer in London. We were working with Wolfberger, so a few years ago when a Singapore customer asked me if I could put him in touch with a good producer in Alsace, I dropped them a note. They suggested Lucien Albrecht, purchased from the Albrecht family in 2012 and now well established in America, but relatively unknown in many other markets. We requested samples, and the customer and I were both delighted at the high quality and reasonable pricing. The first stocks arrived in Singapore in early 2021 when we were still struggling with restrictions in retail outlets, but fortunately online sales provided a platform to launch the brand successfully.”
“My recommendation to try is the Riesling; it is full flavoured with hints of lime and quince, dry, with classic steely acidity; a delicious aperitif or an excellent accompaniment to a meal. The Spiegel Grand Cru is a step up in weight and intensity; an extraordinary wine to savour.”
